About me
Kevin Matthews is a psychedelic political consultant, trainer, and speaker focused on local & state policy reform and global public education.
His accomplishments include: leading the campaign that made Denver the first city in America to decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms in May 2019; serving as the Co-Chief Proponent and Coalition Director of the historic Natural Medicine Health Act (Proposition 122) that Colorado voters approved in November 2022; recently helping defeat Colorado Senate Bill 24-158 which would have banned free speech about psychedelics on social media platforms; and currently serving in a volunteer position on the Denver Natural Medicine Work Group.
He's been featured in local and national publications including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Time Magazine, The Denver Post, High Times, and Marijuana Moment for his advocacy work over the past 6 years, and is dedicated to transforming hearts, minds, and laws with psychedelics.
Kevin's a father, a US Army Veteran, and lifelong Coloradan.
