About me
Claudine Locascio has served as the Executive Director of Japan America Society of Colorado (JASC) since January 2012. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese Studies and International Relations from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, Claudine received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Duke University Nonprofit Management Intensive Track Program. She also studied at Doshisha Univeristy in Kyoto, Japan as a member of the Associate Kyoto Program. Ms. Locascio began her career in international finance with the Industrial Bank of Japan Trust Company and the Japan Desk at Lehman Brothers in New York City before moving to Colorado. She worked with a number of Colorado non-profit organizations between 2002-2012 before joining JASC.
Japan America Society of Colorado is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1989. The organization’s ongoing goal is to promote mutual understanding, relationships and commerce between the peoples of Japan and Colorado. JASC carries out its mission by providing educational, cultural and business workshops, events, programs, and classes that help keep Colorado and Japan connected. With more than 45 corporate members and over 300 individual and family members, the JASC community is a valuable resource for a wide range of expertise related to Japan.
